Tributaries
The tributaries of Main South West Miramichi
are productive rivers in their own right.
Renous
Joins the Miramichi from the north bank and can enjoy some early runs of spring fish.
Bartholomew
Joins from the north bank at Blackville, can also
benefit from early Springer's, and is also renowned for its excellent sea trout fishing.
Cains River
The Miramichi's main tributary, the Cains River
, joins the river at Howard and can offer many angling opportunities to local and visiting anglers. The Cains has some of
the finest trout fishing in the area in May and June.
